- John B. Miller, 74, of 102 Walnut Street, Frostburg, Md., died Aug. 15, 1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Jan. 10, 1915, in Frostburg, Md., he was a son of the late Wesley and Sallie (Hansel) Miller. His wife, Eleanor Anne Twigg, preceded him in death. He was a retired coal miner; a member of United Mine Workers Local 1874, Meyersdale; and a member of God's Ark of Safety Church. Surviving are one son, James B. Miller; and one daughter, Sally Ann Metz, both of Frostburg, Md.; two brothers: Oscar Miller, Shaft; and Albert Miller, Frostburg, Md.; four sisters: Mrs. Helen Gould, Smyrna, Ga.; and Mrs. Ruth Fisher, Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson and Mrs. Blanche Davis, all of Frostburg, Md.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Durst Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Republic, August 24, 1989
