  Notes	CUMBERLAND — Edward C. Grabenstein, 87, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, in Frostburg Village Nursing Home. He was born on Nov. 9, 1910, in Cumberland, the son of the late Edward F. and Josephine (McKenzie) Grabenstein. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Grabenstein and John F. Grabenstein. Mr. Grabenstein was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council #5450 Cresaptown and LaVale; Past President of Haystack Sportsman’s Club; and he was retired from the Celanese. He is survived by his wife, Anna V. (Gilford) Grabenstein; two sons, E. Ronald Grabenstein, Cumberland, and Richard Grabenstein, Waldorf; a step-son, Paul E. Green, Cumberland; a daughter, Betty Johnson, Akron, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Fr. Vance Pastorius officiating. Interment will follow in SS.
