- CUMBERLAND — Mary Lenore Loar, 85, of the Dawn View Manor Nursing Home, Fort Ashby, W.Va., formerly of Kentucky Ave., Cumberland, died Thursday, June 20, 1996, at the Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Dec. 16, 1910, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John F. Seaders and the late Elizabeth A. (McKenzie) Seaders. She also was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Loar, in 1988; two sisters, Regina and Rosalia Seaders; and two brothers, Ralph and Charles Seaders. Mrs. Loar was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Church Sodality. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Linthicum and husband Rick, Short Gap, W.Va., and Elizabeth Lantz and husband Roger, Sherwood Acres, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Ann Marie Lantz, Adrienne Lantz, Andy Linthicum and Molly Linthicum; special niece Charlene Parsons and husband Van, Miami, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Stella Seaders, Miami; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian wake will be conducted on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Annunciation, Fort Ashby, on Monday at ll a.m. with Father Kent Durig officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cumberland. Pallbearers will be Bill Feeney, Dan Blackburn, Wayne Couter, Dick Beeghley, Marshall Carder, Thomas Wagner and Ed Llewellyn.
