- Carlos, October 3 - Melvin F. Wade, 56, of Carlos, died last night in Miners Hospital, Frostburg, where he had been a patient since Saturday. He was a member of Carlos Methodist Church and was an employe of Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, Cumberland. Surviving are a daughter, Matilda Wade, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ware, and Mrs. Mary Grossman, of New Castle, Pa., Mrs. Ruth Everline, of Frostburg; and Mrs. Elizabeth Plummer, of Cumberland; four brothers, Howard Wade, of Orville, Ohio; George Wade, of Shaft; Charles, of Carlos; and Robert, of Hoffman. Carlos, Oct. 4 — Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church here for Melvin F. Wade, 56, of Carlos who died Tuesday night in Miners Hospital, Frostburg. The Rev. John Wilson, pastor of Eckhart circuit, will officiate assisted by the Rev. Norris Lineweaver. Interment will be in Allegany cemetery, Frostburg. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 4, 1945.
