- Hagerstown, MD – Clarissa “Cribby” Footen McKenzie, 64, of Hagerstown, Md., formerly of Cumberland, went to walk and talk with our Lord on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at NMS Home in Hagerstown, Md. Born August 27, 1945, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of Clarissa I. (Meese) Moses and the late Joseph A. Footen. Clarissa served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was a member of St. Mary’s Church. Surviving are her brothers Joseph J. Footen and wife Ananelle, Harbor, Oreg.; Rev. John F. Footen and wife Diane, Bel Air; Daniel E. Footen and wife Frances, Hancock; James P. Footen and wife Terry, Cumberland; Francis X. Footen and wife Judy, Berkeley Springs, W. Va.; sisters, Mary E. Beck, Frederick; Kathryn A. Eckstrom and husband Ray Likin; Patricia Chaney and husband Pete, Hagerstown; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Rosary will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with family officiating. Interment will be in Maryland State Veterans’ Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Flintstone, Maryland. The family would like to thank Western Maryland Hospital and the NMS Nursing Home for their long-term care of our beloved Cribby.
