William Joseph Helton 1799, Elizabeth Moore, found.Posted by: michael helton (ID *****9277)Date: May 07, 2008 at 18:46:18 of 3152
I have been reading a lot of your post in the past on this subject. Unbeknown to many, this family of Helton filed several applications to the Guion Miller, Cherokee Rolls. I am going to add one of them here and you can go to the Helton Family Genealogy Forum and find another one there.
I have run the family back to Sumter District in SC and found a William there that is perfect for the father of William Joseph Helton of Monroe Co. Alabama. All of the applications say that is where he is from. Here is another application for the 1907 Guion Miller Roll.
