Robert Milnor McKenzie Jr., 65, Cresaptown, died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Martinsburg, W.Va. Born in Cumberland June 28, 1922, he was the son of Mrs. Sylvia A. (Waltman) McKenzie, with whom he resided, and the late Robert M. McKenzie Sr. Mr. McKenzie was awarded the Purple Heart while serving with the Army in World War II. He was employed in Reno, Nev., as an electronics repairman for several television stations, and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Cumberland. Also surviving is one sister, Frances L. Jans, at home. Friends will be received in the George-Upchurch Funeral Home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited there Monday at 7 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert Hopkins. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The Cumberland News, September 28, 1987
