Meyersdale - Mrs. Rose M. O'Connor, 77, died Saturday at her home here. She was born in Somerset County, Feb. 22, 1860. A daughter of Samuel and Mary (McKenzie) Porter, she leaves her husband, Hugh, and two children, Mrs. Frank Shanholtz and Mrs. John Patton, both of Meyersdale. She was twice married, her first husband, John C. Saylor, preceding her in death.

MEYERSDALE, June 3 — Mrs. Hugh O'Connor, 77 years old, died at her home on Keystone street Friday, following an illness of several years. The funeral was conducted Monday with requiem mass at SS. Phillip and James Church by her pastor, Rev. H. T. Miller. Mrs. O'Connor was married twice. Her first husband, John Saylor, died a number of years ago. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Margaret Shanholtz and Mrs. Nettie Patton, both of Meyersdale. The following relatives from out-of-town attended the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. John Boose of Akron, O., Mrs. Rose Smith and Howard Null of Cumberland, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lavin, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Smith, Miss Edith Lavin and Clarence and Bernard Lavin of Frostburg, Md. Rose was buried on 31 May 1937 in SS Phillip and James Catholic Cemetery, Meyersdale, Pennsylvania.
