- FROSTBURG, MARYLAND - Margaret E. McKenzie, 85, of 100 Honeysuckle Lane, Frostburg, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Care Center, Frostburg. Born March 17, 1914, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Agnes (Winner) Dishong Sr. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John "Mac" McKenzie; an infant daughter, Mary Margaret McKenzie; and three brothers, Harry E. Dishong Jr., Bernard S. Dishong and Haybert Younkins. Mrs. McKenzie was a former seamstress at the Michael Berkowitz Shirt Factory. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are five nieces, Susan Dishong, Cumberland, Mary Beth Pirolozzi, Cumberland, Joann Myers, Rawlings, Carol Ann Carr, Frostburg, and Jean Dempsey, Pittsburgh; two nephews, Jack Dishong, Frostburg, and Henry McKenzie, Frostburg; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father William Moody officiating. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park. September 14, 1999, Cumberland Times-News.
