- CUMBERLAND -- Anne Victorine McKenzie, 74, of the Cumberland Nursing Home, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, at the nursing home. Born on Oct. 18, 1927, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Steven and Grace Burns. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; one brother; and one grandson. Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and Eucharistic Minister, on the Parish Council and a board director at Friends Aware. Surviving are three sons, William P. McKenzie and wife Rosemary, Baltimore, Joseph McKenzie, Cumberland, and Timothy McKenzie, Baltimore; one daughter, Bonnie Anne McKenzie, at home; one sister, Mary Grace, Avon Lake, Ohio; and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake will be conducted Thursday at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Friday at 9 a.m. with Father Jim Kurtz, O.F.M., Cap., as celebrant. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Thursday, November 08, 2001, Cumberland Times-News.
