- Mrs. Harriet Crowe, an aged and most respected lady, residing near New Germany, departed this life April 12, 1898. She had been an earnest, faithful member and worker in the M. E. Church for many years. She was familiarly known as "Aunt Harriet" and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She often remarked to her family she was ready to die. She was an inspiration not only to her own family but to all with whom she came in contact. While she is dead she yet speaketh. The Republican, Ruth Enlow Library, Garrett County
She was buried in Blocher Cemetery, Garrett Co., Maryland.
