  Notes	CUMBERLAND Ida Leota Schadt, 88, of Cumberland, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at the Allegany County Nursing Home. Born on July 13, 1913, in Wellersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Peter Clark and Martha Ellen (Petenbrink) Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis L. Schadt, in 1959; one son, Louis Edward Schadt, Sr.; six brothers, Samuel Clark, John Clark, Carl Clark, Clyde Clark, Orville Clark, and Melvin Clark; and three sisters, Mary Horchler, Grace LaFlame, and Erma Rice. Mrs. Schadt and her husband worked on the Schadt family farm on Valley Road until his death in 1959. She continued living and working there until 1998. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. Survivors include, one son, Homer Franklin Schadt and wife, Mary, Cumberland; one daughter, Evelyn Leota Burnham, Cumberland; one daughter-in-law, Lois J. Schadt, Cumberland; two sisters, Edna Swan, Valparaiso, Ind., and Lois Plew, Columbia City, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Virginia Clark, Cumberland; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey Burnham, Cumberland, Debra Alexander and husband Medford, Germantown, Brian Robinette and wife Kelly, Ellicott City, Steven Robinette, Alexandria, Va., Jonathan Schadt and wife Martha, Cumberland, Nathaniel Schadt and fiancee Tina Condon, Cumberland, Timothy Schadt, New York, N.Y., Kimberly Howard and husband Tony, Stephens City, Va., Karen Whitener, and husband Keith, Marquand, Mo., Linda Oppedal and husband Dennis, Roland, Iowa, and Louis E. Schadt Jr. and wife Ruth, Cumberland; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, David Anderson, Fort Ashby, W.Va. At Mrs. Schadt's request her body is being cremated. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Cumberland Times obituary.
