- Sister Frances Margaret RUFFO was born on 15 May 1922 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. She died on 22 Apr 1977 in Convent of the Good Shepherd, Georgetown, Washington, D. C.. Sister Frances Margaret Ruffo, 54, of Georgetown, Washington, D.C., died April 22 at the Convent of the Good Shepherd. A native of Frostburg, she was a daughter of Mrs. Letta (McKenzie) Ruffo, Philadelphia, Pa., and the late Nunzy Ruffo. Sister Frances Margaret attended St. Michael's School, Frostburg. She entered the Sisters of the Cross of Good Shepherd, June 8, 1944 in Baltimore and received her first vows July 23, 1947, also in Baltimore. She received her final vows of profession July 22, 1957, in Baltimore. She was stationed in Baltimore, Philadelphia and most recently in Washington, D.C. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two brothers, Anthony F. Ruffo, Forrestville; Joseph H. Ruffo, Oxon Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Herman Bittinger, Frostburg; Mrs. Daniel Wise, and Mrs. Gordon Kight, both of Akron, Ohio. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated April 25 in the Convent Chapel, Georgetown. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Washington.
