  Notes	FROSTBURG - William Freeman Wampler, 82, died yesterday from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had reportedly been in ill health for a long period of time. Born in Avilton, Md., he was a son of the late Daniel S. and Susan (Bittinger) Wampler. He was a member of the Cherry Hill Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary (Dishong) Wampler; three sons, Saylor Wampler, RD 1, Frostburg; Edward Wampler, RD 2, Frostburg; and Harold Enlow Wampler, Manassas, Va.; seven grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 2 p. m. by Rev. Joseph Lewis. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edwin Wampler, William Wampler, Ervin Wampler, Lawrence Groer, Eugene McKenzie and Leroy Dishong. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 12, 1966.
