- Lawrence E. Poleman, 81, died saturday, August 15, 1987, at his home. He was born June 26, 1906 in Salisbury, son of the late Charles and Anna (Glotfelty) Poleman. He was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, and Cumberland Local 616, Laborers International Union of North American. Surviving are his widow, Marie (Pfaff) Poleman; one stepdaughter, Mary Katherine McKenzie, Grantsville, Md.; one stepson, Robert L. Brown, at home; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburgh, Md. Services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Powell S. Hall. Interment, Mount Zion Cemetery, Garrett County. The Republic, August 20, 1987.
