- LONACONING - Melvin C Miller, 78, of Front Street, died yesterday. Born in Lonaconing, he was a son of the late Henry and Annie (Nicol) Miller. He was a retired Kelly-Springfield Tire Company employee. Surviving are his widow, Oma (McKenzie) Miller; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Hawkins, Woodland; a son, Jack Miller of Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Peebles and Mrs. Della Monnett, both of Cumberland; Mrs. Corrine Reiber, Lonaconing; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn Funeral Home. Services will be conducted there Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Rlaine Rinker officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
