Born April 4, 1936, in Frostburg, he was the son of James Pfaff, Gloucester, Va., and the late Myrtle Pfaff. Mr. Pfaff was employed at Frostburg State University as a supply officer and was a retired Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star and other medals. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his father are his widow, Shirley (McKenzie) Pfaff; his stepmother, Hazel Pfaff, Gloucester, Va.; three sons, Thomas J. Pfaff, Frostburg; Michael A. Pfaff and Mark P. Pfaff, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Peggy Lloyd, Frostburg; one niece; one nephew; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
