- FROSTBURG - Thomas G. Pfaff, 52, Kemp Drive, died Saturday, March 25, 1989, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born April 4, 1936, in Frostburg, he was the son of James Pfaff, Gloucester, Va., and the late Myrtle Pfaff. Mr. Pfaff was employed at Frostburg State University as a supply officer and was a retired Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War where he received the Bronze Star and other medals. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his father are his widow, Shirley (McKenzie) Pfaff; his stepmother, Hazel Pfaff, Gloucester, Va.; three sons, Thomas J. Pfaff, Frostburg; Michael A. Pfaff and Mark P. Pfaff, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Peggy Lloyd, Frostburg; one niece; one nephew; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
