- Cumberland - Charles Arthur Moyer, 81, of Lebanon, Pa., formerly of 413 Pulaski St., Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 25, at University Hospital, Hershey Medical Center. Born August 23, 1916 in Sharon, Pa., he was the son of the late Arthur Beryl Moyer and the late Ruth (Simons) Moyer. Mr. Moyer was retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Co., department 41. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Louise (Hoenicka) Moyer; a daughter, Paulette M. Sherwood and husband Bill, Lebanon, Pa.; a grandson, Justin Sherwood, Harrisburg, Pa.; and a granddaughter, MiKel Sherwood, Lebanon, Pa. Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Father Frank Brauer officiating. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. (No source listed.)
