CRESAPTOWN — Ethel Edith (Pratt) Lease, 95, of Cresaptown, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Lions Center. Born Oct. 29, 1915, in Weaver, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Pascuzzi) Pratt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlie T. Lease Sr., Jan. 16, 1999; four brothers, Augusta Pratt, Fred Pratt, Gene Pratt, Dominic Pratt; and one son-in-law, Jim Hill. Mrs. Lease was a homemaker. During the war, she worked for ABL in Ohio Aircraft Plant Rosy Riverter. She was a Catholic by faith. Surviving are three sons, Arlie G. Lease and wife Penny, Pinto, Victor C. Lease and wife JoAnn, Fairgo, Michael Paul Lease and fiancée Jane Wright, Ridgeley; three daughters, Diana J. Hill, Cresaptown, JoEllen Morris and husband Eddie, Cresaptown, Mary Ann Nee and husband Ted, Frederick; three brothers, Tom Pratt, Cresaptown, Mike Pratt, Romulus, Mich., Carl Pratt, Brandywine; one sister, Mary Barrett, Akron, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, Cresaptown, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Arlie Lease Jr., Victor Lease Jr., Eddie Morris Jr., Vincent Nee, Mike Lease Jr. and Mike Pratt. In lieu of flowers, donations made be directed to Western Maryland Hospice Home Care, c/o Linda Valentine Green or Pat Wade, 1050 W. Industrial Blvd., Suite 19, Cumberland, MD 21502 or Louis G. Pratt Program for Dyslexic Children, c/o Bishop Walsh School, Bishop Walsh Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502. The Lease family would like to thank the Lions Manor Nursing Center, dietary and housekeeping staff for all their kindness and support during this time.
