- Frostburg - Mrs. Shirley I. McKenzie, 39, wife of Lafe McKenzie, RD 2, Frostburg, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital after an illness of six years. Born at Salisbury, Pa., she was a daughter of Lawrence and Bertha (Wilt) Bittinger. Also surviving are two brothers, Edward Bittinger, Salisbury, and Kenneth Bittinger, Scenery Hill, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. Iva Minnick, Salisbury. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church by Rev. William Moody. Burial will be in the Blocher Cemetery. The rosary will be recited today at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cumberland Evening Times, February 19, 1973
