  Notes	HAGERSTOWN — William Taylor McKenzie, 82, of 45 Redwood Drive, Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Born Saturday, April 7, 1923, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John McKenzie and the late Mary Nies McKenzie. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army with Company C 96th Chemical Battalion, he worked in Cumberland, at Celanese Fiber and Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory before moving to Hagerstown in 1966 where he was employed with the State Road Administration in Hagerstown until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Dixon Troxell Post 211 American Legion Funkstown. He is survived by his wife, Cleora J. McKenzie, whom he married on Aug. 6, 1943; daughter, Sharon Gall and husband Donald of Hagerstown; son, Raymond McKenzie and wife Sylvia of Williamsport; three grandsons, Keith Gall and great-grandson, Jarred of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Gall and wife Tracy and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brandie of Hagerstown, and Brian McKenzie of Williamsport; brother, Milnor McKenzie and wife Mary Catherine of LaVale; two sisters, Helen Gorsuch and husband Clarence of LaVale, and Shirley Langley of Solomons, Md.; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. from the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington St., Hagerstown, with the Father George Limmer as celebrant. Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Boulevard, North Hagerstown, from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 3. Interment will be in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Cumberland Times-News, May 2, 2005.
