- Frostburg, April 3 — Mrs. Hattie Engle, 72, widow of Vincent Engle, Eckhart, died yesterday afternoon at her home in the Porter settlement. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Porter, she was an active member of the First Methodist Church, Eckhart. Her survivors include four sons, Wesley, Wheeler, William and Vincent, Eckhart; three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Skidmore, Eckhart; Mrs. Lelah Lancaster, LaVale, and Mrs. Richard Seifarth, Hoffman; a sister, Miss Cora Porter, a half-sister Mrs. William Ricker, and two half brothers, William and Oscar Porter Cumberland.

ENGLE, Mrs. Hattie Porter
Eckhart, Md., April 8 - Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Engle, 72, widow of Vincent Engle, were held Friday afternoon from the home in the Porter settlement near Eckhart. The Rev. Norris A. Lineweaver, pastor of the Methodist Church, was assisted by the church choir. Burial was in Porter Cemetery. The pallbearers, nephews, were Cecil, Cobey Irvin, Lester and Elmer Engle and Marshall Porter.
