- CRESAPTOWN — Mary (Skelley) Lease Coddington, 89, of Cresaptown, died Sunday, May 22, 1994 at the Allegany County Nursing Home. Born on July 26, 1904 in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late John and Lottie (Chilcott) Skelley. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Lease; her second husband, Robert Harold Coddington and one daughter, Mildred V. Lease. Mrs. Coddington was retired from the Celanese Corporation where she had been the Charge Hand of Backwinding. She was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church and was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Fratemal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2883, Cresaptown. Surviving are one daughter, Kathleen Robinson and husband, James F. Robinson, Cumberland; one brother, James Skelley, Cresaptown; four sisters, Viola Twigg, Rosalie Misch, Ethel Howsare and Mildred Douthitt, all of Cresaptown; one granddaughter, Robin Jo McKenzie, LaVale and three great-granddaughters, Jessica McKenzie, Melanie McKenzie and Angela McKenzie. Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
