- CUMBERLAND — Robert Leroy Raley, 66, of Allegany County Nursing Home, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at the nursing home. Born Dec. 5, 1936, in Cresaptown, he was the son of the late Thomas Raley and Mildred (Grant) Raley Combs. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Pansy Ruth Young. Surviving are one sister, Vivian Kirchner and husband Richard, Cumberland, two brothers, Tom Raley and Wanda, Cumberland, Melvin Raley and Lisa, Dubuque, Iowa; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Joy Conner, Dundalk, with whom he resided for many years. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cumberland, on Friday from noon until 1 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Seaman officiating.
