- Herman L. Douthitt, 79, of 16 Clark Avenue, North Apollo, Pa., died Saturday in Allegheny Hospital, Tarentum, Pa. Mr. Douthitt was a former resident of Cresaptown. Born at Piedmont, he was a son of the late George and Laura (Broom) Douthitt. Mr. Douthitt was a retired employe of the Celanese Fibers Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Ella (Stottlemeyer) Douthitt; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Black, North Apollo, and Mrs. Walter Pifer, Galeton, Pa.; three sons, Charles H. and Glen T. Douthitt, both of Cresaptown, and Leon G. Douthitt, Vandergrift, Pa.; five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Duckworth, Tipton, Mich.; Mrs. Ollie Runion, Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Lula Beam and Mrs. Grace Sisk, both of Fort Ashby; and Mrs. Susie Lechliter, Paw Paw; two brothers, John Douthitt, Apollo, and Edgar Douthitt, Fort Ashby; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body is at the King Funeral Home, Apollo, and will be returned to the George Funeral Home where friends will be received tomorrow from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m.
