- CRESAPTOWN — Alice Jane Harris, 82, of Cresaptown, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at her home. Born Feb. 14, 1928, in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late John Howard Stottlemyer and Elva Edna (Grant) Stottlemyer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene V. Harris in 2002. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Harris and wife Lisa, of Baltimore, and Andrew Harris and wife Kathy, of Cresaptown; two daughters, Joyce Roach and husband Gerry, of Edgewood, and Penny Souders and husband John, of Adel, Ga.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Walker officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. Cumberland Times-News, May 29, 2010.
