A retired textile worker, he was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are three children, James L. Grant, Hagerstown; Mrs. Marilyn Fortna and Mrs. Naomi Emerick, Lebanon; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Park and Mrs. Lillian Beck, Cumberland Fairgrounds; two brothers, Charles Grant, Frostburg, and Marshall Grant, Rawlings; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
