- CUMBERLAND — Sarah “Jane” Wolfe, 94, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at The Golden Living Center. Born June 12, 1918 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Wolfe and Mary Edna (MacKenzie) Wolfe. Jane’s father had owned and operated Wolfe’s Meat and Poultry Market in Cumberland. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary K. (Wolfe) Manuel; and her brother, Warren M. Wolfe. Miss Wolfe had worked at the Celanese Plant for a short time and had also taught knitting. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Cumberland Times-News, August 18, 2012
