    • FROSTBURG - Paul T. Wilson, 79, of Frostburg, died Monday, August 11, 2003 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was a recent resident of St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. Born March 5, 1924 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Catherine (Hoban) Wilson and John Wilson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen (McKenzie) Wilson; one grandson, Paul Wilson, Jr.; three brothers, Vernon, John, and James, and one sister, Alyce Rowley. Mr. Wilson served in World War II in the Pacific Area from November 4, 1943 to Dec. 19, 1945. He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp. He fought in battles against the enemy at Saipan, Tarawa, Tinian and Okinawa. He was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart, Certificate of Satisfactory-Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Sharpshooter Medal. He worked at the Celanese and retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Co. after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and American Legion Post #24. Surviving are his wife of thirteen years, Virginia (Lewis) Thomas Wilson; three sons, P.D. "Dan" Wilson and wife Gail, Cumberland; Mike Wilson and wife Carole, Severna Park; Edward Lee Thomas and wife Vicki, Frostburg; four daughters: Brenda Skidmore and husband Tom, Midlothian; Cindy Dugan, Frostburg; Beverley Crawford and husband Joseph, Shaft; and Marsha Eichhorn, Frostburg; 12 grandchildren: Patrick N. Wilson and wife Denise, Michael S. and Patrick M. Wilson; Tom Skidmore and wife Bobbi, Keith Skidmore and wife Lisa, Lisa Marie Skidmore, Lauri Crowe and husband Denny; Eddie "Bud" Thomas, Casey, Joey and David "Teddy" Crawford, and Ashley Eichhorn; seven great-grandchildren: Katie and Paul Wilson; Tyler and Hunter Crowe; Luke, Dalton and Alex Skidmore; one sister, Mary Peretti and husband Francis, Frostburg; 2 brothers-in-law, Robert McKenzie and wife Gladys, Shaft, Roy Lewis and wife Mary, Corriganville; three sisters-in-law, Marymae Wilson, Frostburg; Wanda Wilson, Frostburg; and Bonnie Delaney, Detroit, MI; four nephews: Robert, John and James Rowley, and John Wilson; and one niece, Veronica Cooper. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a. m. with Msgr. Robert S. Passarelli officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery. Members of Farrady Post 24 Honor Guard will accord military honors at the grave. Pallbearers will be Patrick N. Wilson, Michael S. Wilson, Patrick M.
