- LONACONING — John L. McKenzie, 62, Jackson Street, died yesterday at his home. A native of Woodland, he was a son of the late Elijah and Rhoda (Knippenberg) McKenzie. He was a retired employe of Celanese Fibers Company. Surviving are his widow, Catherine (Nicols) McKenzie; two daughters, Mrs. John Gowans, here, and Mrs. William Robertson, Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Robertson, Gilmore; and five grandchildren. The body is at the Eichhorn Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there Thursday at 1 p.m. with Rev. W. W. Martin officiating. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Cumberland Evening Times, Tuesday, January 15, 1974.
