He was buried in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, Allegany Co., Maryland. WESTERNPORT — Paul E. “Champ” McKenzie, 67 of 207 Wood St., Westernport, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 1995, at Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1927, in Westernport, he was the son of the late Hillary McKenzie and Rebecca L. (Biddle) McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a retired carman from CSX Railroad, Cumberland, with 44 years of service. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen; Saint James Episcopal Church, Westernport; Victory Post 155, American Legion, where he also was a member of the Victory Post Walkers, Westernport, and Queens Point VFW 6775, McCoole. He also was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Arvella (Fletcher) McKenzie; two sons, Steven McKenzie and wife Donna, Rawlings; Richard McKenzie, at home; two brothers, Eugene McKenzie, Baltimore; Donald McKenzie, Westernport; one sister, Norma Broadwater, Westernport, and two granddaughters, Ashley and Madison McKenzie. Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport. Services will be conducted at Saint James Episcopal Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father William Davis officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale. Members of the Victory Post 155 will serve as pallbearers. Cumberland Times-News, Monday, October 2, 1995
