- Mrs. Bessie Johnson – Mrs. Bessie (Willy) Johnson, 55, of 512 Frederick Street, died Saturday at the Washington, D.C. Hospital Center. Born in Pekin, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Nolan) McKenzie and was employed at the Cumberland Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. Surviving are her husband, Leonard Johnson; two daughters, Miss Reta Johnson and Mrs. Ann Hutter, both of Cumberland; one son, Thomas Johnson, Brunswick; three sisters, Genevieve Kenely, Keyser; Mrs. Rose Marie O’Haver, Pekin, and Mrs. Ann Whiteman, Lonaconing, and one brother, Edward McKenzie, Pittsburgh. Friends will be received in the Eichhorn Funeral Home, Lonaconing, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Barton.
