- Mrs. Jane B. Roberts - Frostburg Md., April 14 – Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at her home, 68 Broadway for Mrs. Jane Boyns Roberts, 85, who came here 64 years ago as a bride. The Rev. J. Luther Neff, Pastor of the first Methodist Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Cumberland. Mrs. Roberts, widow of Christopher Roberts, was with the exception of Benjamin Jenkins, Bowery Street, the last of the group of English that came here in the early seventies to establish homes. She was active in the societies of the First Methodist Episcopal Chucrh, particularly the foreign missionary. The surviving children are: Mrs. M.J. MacMannis, Mrs. Elizabeth R. McKenzie and H. Garfield Roberts, Frostburg; Mrs. J.A. Miller, Cumberland, and Mrs. Grave R. Peele, Rich Square, N.C.. She was a sister of Mrs. Mary Phillips and Edwin Boyns of England and Richard Ernest Boyns and Mrs. William Pendray, Victoria, British Columbia. Cumberland Evening Times, Saturday, April 14, 1934
