FROSTBURG - Emmaline Anna-Maria McKenzie, 3, of 12629 Vale Summit Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2007, at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a result of a freak accident involving a rock on Vale Summit Road. Born Aug.17, 2003, in Cumberland she was the daughter of Ronald F. McKenzie Jr. and Stacey (Gomer) McKenzie, of Vale Summit. She was preceded in death by her pappy, Richard Gomer; great grandpap, Stanley Hitchins; and great grandpap, Irvin Gomer. Surviving besides her parents, is her sister, Isabella Noel "Izzy B" McKenzie, at home; great grandparents, Francis and May (Caton) McKenzie; great grandmothers, Anna (Fatkin) Hitchins and Barbara Cutter; great grandmother Jeanette (Sperry) Gomer; grandparents, Ronnie and Vickie (Cutter) McKenzie and Mary C. (Hitchins) Gomer; aunts and uncles, Steph and Bob Beeman, Jennifer and Russel Seigmyer; great aunts and uncles, Debbie and Doug Arnold, Danny McKenzie, and special friend, Ruth Friend, Terry McKenzie, and special friend, Helen, and Jim and Shirley Powell; great aunt, Linda (Gomer) Raley; cousins, Alexis, Nicolos and Kristi Yoak, Jonathan Seigmyer, Ben, Sam, and Jake Beeman, Chris, Katie and Josh McKenzie, and Corey Arnold. Emmaline was a member of the Vale Summit United Methodist Church and she sang with the Sunday School Choir. She also loved attending preschool at Romney Elementary School. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, 60 W. Main Street, Frostburg on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Interment will be in Vale Summit Cemetery. Pallbearers will be uncles, Bob Beeman and Russell Seigmyer; great uncles, Doug Arnold, Terry McKenzie, Danny McKenzie and Jim Powell. Memorial contributions may be directed to a trust fund in honor of Emmaline's sister and best friend Izzy B. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Emmaline was a special little girl who always had a smile for everyone. She cared and loved everyone she met. She only lived a short three years, but in that time she touched many lives.
