Joshua Daniel McKenzie, 20, of Garrett, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Feb. 21, 2011, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Born March 31, 1990, in Somerset. A son of Mary Ann Murray of Garrett, and Danny McKenzie and his companion Ruth Friend, Meyersdale. Maternal grandparents, Mary V. Murray, of Garrett and the late Merle Murray; and paternal grandparents, May and Francis McKenzie, Finzel. A brother of Christopher McKenzie, Finzel; and Katie McKenzie, Grantsville. Also survived by niece Savana Broadwater, Grantsville; aunts: Rheta Berkey, Somerset; Dotty Bowser, Grantsville; Brenda Murray, Meyersdale; and Debbie Arnold, Frostburg. Uncles: Merle M. Murray, Johnstown; Ronnie McKenzie, Frostburg; and Terry McKenzie, Frostburg. Cousins: David Topper, Finzel; Jake Topper, Meyersdale; Carrie Shaffer, Grantsville; Kimmy Wilburn, Grantsville; Malachi, Nick and Brodrick Murray, Johnstown; Ronnie McKenzie Jr., Frostburg; Corey Arnold, Frostburg; and his girlfriend, Katelyn Kennell, Wellersburg. A 2008 graduate of Meyersdale High School. Employed by Chameleon Glass and Tile of Frostburg. Josh enjoyed dirt bikes, working on his car, snowboarding, and he was a member of the ski club at MAHS. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
