- GRANTSVILLE — Betty Frances Bittinger, 86, of Grantsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, Pa. Born Sept. 2, 1933, in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert A.
and Nellie Frances (Wolfe) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kermit L. 'Butch' Bittinger, Dec. 28, 2014. Mrs. Bittinger was a cook at Hill Top Inn Restaurant. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St.
Ann Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. She is survived by one son, Michael R. Bittinger, Grantsville; one brother, Robert A. McKenzie, Grantsville; two sisters, Patricia Garlitz and Sharon Mabry, both of Salisbury, Pa.; one granddaughter, Sheli (Jeff) Gray and two great-granddaughters, Ashlin and Abigail. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, from 9-11 a.m. A Prayer Service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Ann Catholic Church, c/o St. Michael Catholic Church, 44 E.
