- Almedia Brown (daughter of William Milton Brown and Ulela Jane HARDING) was born about 1923. She died on 7 Jul 1964. Services for Mrs. Almedia F. Bowman, 41, Salisbury, Pa., who died yesterday of injuries sustained in a three-car accident on July 4 near Frostburg, will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Rev. Marcus A. Yohe will officiate, and interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Salisbury. Mrs. Bowman was the second victim of the holiday collision which also claimed the life of Thomas H. Wood, 44, of Hagerstown. The accident is being investigated by the State's Attorney's Office and the Maryland State Police. County Investigator William F. Baker questioned several persons yesterday, but no formal charges have been placed. She was a native of Salisbury, and was a daughter of Mrs. Ulela (Harding) Brown and the late William Brown. She was a member of Salisbury Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Also surviving are her husband Colonel W. Bowman; two daughters, Jeanne and Peggy Lou Bowman, both at home; brothers, Harold, Wilbur and Elmer Brown, all of Salisbury; Lawrence Brown, LaVale, and Ray Brown, Avilton; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie McKenzie Salisbury, and Mrs. Blanche Ringer, RD Grantsville.
