She was born in Avilton, and was a daughter of Ambrose Weimer and the late Olive (Wilhelm) Weimer. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Grantsville. Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, George E. Broadwater; two sons, David Broadwater and Dean Broadwater, and one daughter, Patty Broadwater, all at home; four brothers, James Weimer and John Weimer, both Lonaconing, Md.; Francis Weimer and Harry Weimer, Grantsville; eight sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Colmer, Barton, Md.; Mrs. Rita Rafferty and Mrs. Virginia Miller, Lonaconing; Mrs. Louise Ohler, Meyersdale; Mrs. Donna Glotfelty and Miss Catherine Broadwater, Grantsville; Mrs. Helen Mardis, Rockwood; and Mrs. Joyce Lauf, New Centerville. Friends were received in Newman Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church with the Rev. Aiden Lock, officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Avilton. The Republic, June 3, 1982
