MEYERSDALE, Pa.-Dale Eugene Baer, 66, of 3562 Greenville Road, Meyersdale, died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home. Born May 31, 1932, in Greenville Township, he was a son of the late Marshall and Tillie (Baer) Baer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas, Pa. A U.S. Army veteran of the
Korean Conflict, he was also a member of Grantsville Post #214, American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Margaret C. (Drees) Baer; a son, David E. Baer, Meyersdale; a daughter, Theresa Kamp and husband, Ed, Grantsville; two brothers, Wayne Baer, Salisbury, Paul Baer, Meyersdale; a sister, Barbara Bodes, St. Paul, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Angie and Neil Kamp. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bernard White officiating. Interment will be in Finzel Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post #214, American Legion. Cumberland Times
