- LAVALE — James Edward Fadeley, 65, of 32 LaVale Boulevard, LaVale, passed away Saturday evening, July 6, 1996, at his residence. Born July 22, 1930, in Finzel, he was the son of the late Melvin and Ruth (McKenzie) Fadeley. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Phoebe Spataro and one daughter, Cynthia Louise Fadeley. Mr. Fadeley was a retired employee of the Garrett County Roads Department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 41. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Martha Marie (McKenzie) Fadeley; one son, Larry Fadeley and wife Kathy, Midlothian; three daughters, Terry Beachy and husband Keith, Grantsville; Mary Ann Lytle and husband Greg, Friendsville; Sherry Vodicka, LaVale; six grandchildren; three brothers, John Fadeley and Ira Fadeley, both of Finzel; David Leo Fadeley, Eckhart, and one sister, Dixie Geis, Frostburg. Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Paul A. Byrnes officiating. Interment will be in Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery, Finzel. Cumberland Times-News, Monday, July 8, 1996
