- Orville V. Garlitz – Avilton – Orville V. Garlitz, 87, died yesterday in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born at Avilton, Mr. Garlitz was a son of the late Isadore and Elizabeth (McKenzie) Garlitz. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Avilton. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mollia (Bardon) Garlitz; four sons, Norris Garlitz and Ellis Garlitz, both of Avilton; Paul Garlitz, Lorrain, Ohio; and Leonard Garlitz, Salisbury, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Michael, Amherst, Ohio and Mrs. Lillian Kemp, Sheffield Lake, Ohio, 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s catholic Church by Rev.
