He was born in Avilton, and was a son of the late Edward Weimer and Sarah (Chaney) Weimer. He was preceded in death by his widow, Olive (Wilhelm) Weimer, in 1973. He was a retired farmer and member of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Avilton. He is survived by four sons, James Weimer and John Weimer, Lonaconing, Francis Weimer and Harry Weimer, Grantsville, Maryland; eight daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Colmer, Barton, Maryland; Mrs. Virginia Miller and Mrs. Rita Rafferty, Lonaconing; Mrs. Mary L. Ohler, Meyersdale; Mrs. Donna Glotfelty and Mrs. Catherine Broadwater, Grantsville; Mrs. Helen Mardis, Rockwood; and Mrs. Joyce Laus, New Centerville; three brothers, Stanley Weimer and Alphonsus Weimer, Lonaconing and Horace Weimer, Frostburg, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Clup, Carter Camp; and Mrs. Charlotte Deitrich, Beallsville; 47 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Grantsville, with the Rev. Aiden Lucko, OF, as celebrant.
