- Mr. Wayne Leon McKenzie, 66, of Monrovia, Md., died peacefully at his home Sunday, October 29, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. McKenzie. Born May 20, 1940, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was a son of the late Howard W. and Vera Wilburn McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie served in the U.S.
Marine Corp. He worked in the air conditioning business at Airflow Company in Frederick for 40 years. He had worked part time at ATS in Frederick until his recent retirement, due to his declining health. Wayne was a member of Gold Star Post 191 American Legion in Mount Airy and the Glade Valley Golf Club. He had a great passion for playing golf and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving, besides his wife, is a son, Greg W. McKenzie and wife Stacy of Frederick; two grandchildren, Haley and Jake McKenzie; a brother, Rodney McKenzie and wife Bonnie of Frederick; and a sister, Ellen Kline and husband Roy of Kansas. Friends may call 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Md. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home. Interment will be private. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his name to Frederick County Hospice, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
