He died on 23 Dec 2000 in Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland. EMORY F ROSENBERGER - FROSTBURG Emory Franklin Rosenberger, 76, of 18218 Borden Yard Road, Frostburg, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in the Hospice Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on April 18, 1924, in Finzel, he was the son of the late John and Grace (LaRue) Rosenberger. He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Mr. Rosenberger was a truck driver, having retired from Blackburn Trucking Company, and operated several saw mills with his longtime friend, Sonny Logsdon. He was a Roman Catholic by faith, and a member of Teamsters Local #453. During World War II, he bravely served his country in both the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines. Surviving are his wife, Donna (Blank) Rosenberger, Frostburg, and her daughter, Denise Crowe, Vale Summit; two daughters, Cynthia Early and Peggy Nagle, both of Austin, Texas; one son, Kenny Rosenberger, Finzel; one brother, Arthur Rosenberger and wife Hilda, Finzel; four sisters, Clara McKenzie and husband Jamie, Finzel, Alberta Rosenberger, Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Evelyn Baker, St. Vincent dePaul Nursing Care Center, and husband Norman, and Edna Kimble, Meyersdale, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Jesse Rosenberger, Timothy Nagle and Nicholas Nagle. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Paul Byrnes officiating. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by Farrady Post #24 American Legion Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Donald McKenzie, David Billips, Dennis Martin, Larry Martin, Wayne Stuby and Edward Logsdon. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Logsdon and Dr. Angel Roque.
