Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Joseph and Frances (McKenzie) Minnick. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Mildred (Jeffries) Minnick; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Baker, here; three sons, Robert and Raymond Minnick, here, and James Minnick, Mt. Savage; three brothers, Allen Minnick, Frostburg; Lawrence Minnick, Cleveland, Ohio; and Eugene Minnick, Akron, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Durkin, Mrs. Angela Scarpelli, Eckhart; Mrs. Helen Brode, here; Mrs. Bessie Hotchkiss, Ridgeley; and Mrs. Anna Hickman, Akron; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. today. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A Christian wake service will be conducted today at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Cumberland Evening Times, April 11, 1975.
