- Paul Russell Stark, 75, of Grantsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 1994 at Frostburg Hospital. Born on July 31, 1918 at Meyersdale, he was the son of the late Roy and Catherine (Hare) Stark. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. (Warne) Stark on April 1, 1991. Mr. Stark was a member of Saint Ann's Catholic Church and Frostburg Moose Lodge 3487. He retired after 31 years of service as a high lift operator with Haribson-Walker Refractories of Grantsville, Md. Surviving are one stepson, Ronald C. Warne, Cumberland; three brothers, Leo Stark, Lodi, Ohio; Raymond Stark, Wadsworth, Ohio; Bill Stark, Pinson, Ala.; four sisters: Helen Rankin, Paris, Ky.; Catherine Cochrane of Meyersdale; Betty Showalter of Salisbury; Sally Irwin of BelAir, Cumberland, Md.; four step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Ann's Catholic Church on Monday with Rev. William Moody officiating. Interment will be in Mount Union Cemetery. The Rosary was recited at the funeral home Sunday. The Frostburg Moose Lodge will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday.
