    • Donald W. Rafferty, 53, of RD 2, Grantsville, Md.; died Monday, Feb. 8, 1988, at Frostburg Community Hospital, Md. Born March 23, 1934, at Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph and Maude (Lockard) Rafferty. He had been employed as a mechanic with the Billy Bender Chevrolet dealership in Grantsville, Md. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Woodmen of the World Alcamp 41 of Grantsville, Md. Surviving are his widow, Reginia (Warne) Durst Rafferty; one daughter, Dawn Marie Rafferty; one step-daughter, Mrs. Elaine Hutzel, Salisbury; two sisters, Mrs. Delores Albright and Mrs. Darlene Nep, both of Akron, Ohio; and one step-grandson. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Ann's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday by Father William Moody. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, February 18, 1988.
