GRANTSVILLE — Regina Mae Rafferty, 82, of Grantsville, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born Oct. 31, 1928, in Avilton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Matilda (McKenzie) Warne. Mrs. Rafferty was preceded in death by two husbands, Ellis Roy Durst and Donald Rafferty; two brothers, Thomas “Boss” Warne and Dan Warne; two sisters, Ora Price and Virginia Stark, and her son-in-law, Paul Hutzell. She was a seamstress for Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville, and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Surviving is her daughter, R. Elaine Hutzell, of Salisbury; one grandson, Charles “Jody” Hutzell and wife Tammy, of Salisbury and two great-grandsons, Paul Edward and Connor Allen. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Monday, April 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 1 p.m. with Monsignor James Hannon officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery. Cumberland Times-News, April 2, 2011.
