- GRANTSVILLE — Joseph Delbert Durst, 58, of Grantsville, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born Feb. 21, 1942, in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Elmer C. and Gladys L. (Durst) Durst. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna M. (Fisher) Durst, April 12, 1979; and one brother, Thomas Durst. Mr. Durst was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. He was a 1960 graduate of Northern High School, Accident. He had been employed as a heavy equipment tire manager for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Charleston, W.Va. Surviving are one son, Joseph David Durst and wife Lisa, Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Nancy Jo Fratz and husband Michael, Accident, and Jennifer Dawn Mullins and husband Jamie, Clendenin, W. Va.; one brother, Dean Durst and wife Joanne, Accident; two sisters, Patsy Pope and husband Harry, Springs, Pa., and Nancy Craig, Forest, Va.; one sister-in-law, Sandra Yoder, Grantsville; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kimberly and David Durst, Michael, Joshua and Zachary Fratz, and Taylar Mullins; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, PA., Grantsville, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Paul H. Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
