- Freda SCHROCK (daughter of Lewis Franklin SCHROCK and Laura TROUTMAN) was born about 1917 in Pennsylvania. She died on 31 Aug 1973 in Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. Mt. Savage - Mrs. Freda McKenzie, 56, was dead on arrival yesterday at Frostburg Community Hospital. She had been in ill health several years. Born in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Laura Schrock. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Savage Homemakers and Catholic Daughters of America. Surviving are her husband, James A. McKenzie; a son, James F. McKenzie, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Rosalie V. DeVore, Ellerslie, and Mrs. Mary P. Reed, Mt. Savage; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Kennell, Glen Burnie, and Mrs. Mamie Holtz, Cumberland; a brother, Noah Schrock, Midland; a half brother, Albert Shaffer, Cresaptown, and six grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Cumberland News, September 1, 1973
